Love Glass Worktops – Are they Strong?

Love glass table tops and glass splash backs are made of minimum 6 mm thick glass and they are fitted with glue on a smooth surface. If all these conditions are fulfilled they will be very strong. Before fixing the glass panes you need to sand paper the wall and make sure that there are no uneven areas. Only if you fit a glass on an uneven area the glass will lose its strength. Instead if you make the area smooth and then fix your work top it will be strong enough. This will not apply to shower screens as they are not glued to surfaces.
